I specialize in working with people who are experiencing life transitions, such as marriage, divorce, parenting, career, loss of a loved one, aging, and existential anxiety. Even though transitions are a natural part of life, transitions can be stressful and challenging because it means we need to make changes in how we are living our life now. A major life transition closes one chapter of our life and will force us to start a new one. Going in a direction we have not gone before can bring up feelings of fear, doubt, and uncertainty.
If you are trying to figure out what you want from your life, I will provide a safe and nonjudgmental place where we can explore your emotions, challenges, choices and possible consequences, and best approaches to move forward. Together we will work to understand your inner world in order to overcome the obstacles which are interfering with your quality of life. My goal is for you to experience more clarity and confidence as you navigate the transition. With every life transition, we need to let go of a past way of thinking or being and replace it with something new. Going through the process of taking stock of your life can often lead you to a new beginning which opens up new possibilities not thought possible before.
In addition to Couples Therapy, I also specialize in Pre- and Post Divorce Counseling. Discernment Counseling is a valuable assessment for couples who are trying to gain clarity as to what they want to do about their relationship and what the best path forward is. Please visit my Discernment Counseling page for more information.
I also work with people who have divorced and are building a new life for themselves. The desire to build a new life for yourself will lead to a period of discovering who you are outside of the marriage and what brings meaning to your life. Please visit my Post-Divorce Counseling page for more information.
I became a licensed psychoanalyst in 2012 and a licensed clinical social worker in 2014. I have also been trained and certified in Couples and Family Therapy. In addition to my clinical work, I have worked in the corporate world for many years. I feel this experience has given me first hand knowledge which enables me to understand the stressors, challenges, and demands that people working in this environment experience. I have been trained in a variety of treatment modalities and I draw from my eclectic background to determine the best way to work with each person. I don’t believe there is one type of treatment that will fit everyone.
I conduct face-to-face sessions in my office or online sessions through a secure, HIPAA compliant platform. Call or email me to schedule an appointment.
